Robert Bailey
Buck Stove Lantern
Robert Bailey grew up in Spruce Pine, North Carolina as the youngest of five children. His mother, Dorothy Riddle Bailey, was the sole caregiver for his family, as Robert’s father was killed in World War II just before his birth. Robert attended Harris High School; he later purchased the school property and converted the abandoned school into the Pinebridge Inn and Executive Center Complex.
Robert is the owner and president of New Buck Corporation, a worldwide leader in the wood, gas, gaslights and wooden mantle industries for more than thirty years. His company is based in Spruce Pine and ships to a national distributor network, with just under 1,000,000 units in the market today. Robert and his wife of 35 years, Donna, reside in Spruce Pine. They have two children, four granddaughters and one grandson.
The Buck Stove Lantern is an inspired representation of the heart and soul of Buck Stove. The little lantern stands for quality craftsmanship, as New Buck Corporation has been building handmade heating products for over thirty years. Three components of the lantern, the brass knob, fabricated metal and soothing flame, all incorporate the common legacy of the Buck Stove tradition. Each lantern is authenticated with a serial number and packaged with a signed card from the artist. This lantern will warm your heart, not your home.
